He is a journalist and he writes about innovation and technology for the Sole 24 Ore. For this newspaper he founded and edited, until 2011, the technology and digital culture supplement Nova24 the editorship of which he once again took over at the end of 2013. He is president of the Fondazione Ahref, a center for research into the quality of information in the social media. He teaches journalism and new media in Padua and Trieste. In 2012 he worked with the Italian ministry for economic development as part of a taskforce devoted to bettering the ecosystem of innovative startups, and afterwards he collaborated with its mission for a digital agenda. He is co-founder of ItalianStartup, a member of the administration board of the Fondazione Golinelli, and is part of the board of trustees of Nexa.
